NT Government
Disability Coordinator. Contact the Department of Health and Families on (08)89227424 to arrange an interview with a coordinator who can put you in touch with relevant services.
NT government assistance is available for Carers who are permanent residents of the NT and are in receipt of the Commonwealth Carer's Allowance from Centrelink, for further information http://www.health.nt.gov.au/Aged_and_Disability/Subsidies/NT_Pencon_Scheme/index.aspx or phone 1800 421 887.
Autism Advisor
The Autism Advisor program is operated in the Northern Territory by Autism SA and located in Winnellie. This service is available to families with a child aged 0 - 6 years of age. Click here to go to the Autism Advisor for the NT.
Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC)
The Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre was established at La Trobe University in 2008. This is the first research centre in Australia dedicated specifically to Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD's). Click here to go to the OTARC

A National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) would be a landmark social and economic reform transforming the lives of Australians with a disability and their families.
