About Us
Autism
NT is a voluntary organisation set up to support people who have
disorders on the Autism Spectrum their families and carers.
Autism
Spectrum Disorders such as Autism and Asperger's Syndrome are a life
long developmental disability that affects the individuals understanding
of what she/he sees, hears and senses. This results in problems
of social relationships, communication and behaviour.
The Association's aim is to actively promote the acceptance of people
with Autism Spectrum Disorders and to provide services throughout
the Northern Territory to enable them and their families to be an
integral part of our community.
Meetings and Information nights are held once a month at the Autism NT office at the Nightcliff Shopping Centre.
We would like to thank our outgoing 2007 Committee for all their support and hard work throughout the year and take this opportunity to welcome our incoming 2008 Committee.
